The winter festival offers activities that your whole family will enjoy. Whether you plan to enjoy the festive snacks or revel in the events sponsored by local businesses, we promise you’ll have a great experience! Year after year, our team here at Bay Pointe Inn welcomes new and returning guests who plan to visit the Gun Lake Winterfest—and the word on the street is this year’s festival is larger and more impressive than ever before! Michigan Winter Festival’s Activities
Scheduled events change each year at Gun Lake Winterfest, so you’ll have to browse the festival’s website often to see the most current list of activities. However, some events are festival-goers favorites and reappear every year. There are over 11 activities to experience at the festival, and we suggest that you browse them all. We’ve listed some of our staff’s favorite events below.
- Fireman’s Breakfast: Pancakes, eggs, and sausage, oh my! Visit Gun Lake Community Church for a hearty breakfast to kick off your day. All proceeds are donated to Yankee Springs Fire Department, Orangeville Fire Department, and Winterfest.
- Beer Run: Lace up your tennis shoes and prepare for the race of a lifetime! Winterfest’s .05K Beer Run rewards the top ten runners a t-shirt and beer tasting ticket.
- Euchre Tournament: For a $10 fee, you can show off your Euchre skills (or lack thereof) in Winterfest’s annual Euchre Tournament. There will be 10 games played.
- Gun Lake Idol: Has anyone ever told you that you’re a talented singer? Let the Winterfest panel be the judge of that! Enter into Gun Lake Idol against other contests for a chance to win the grand prize and bragging rights.
