A Guide to Breweries near Bay Pointe

There are amazing breweries to discover throughout the state, including around Shelbyville. To fully experience all these breweries have to offer, be sure to find out if they offer tours.

Openroad Brewery

Sample all this Wayland Brewery has to offer by stopping in for a cold brew and delicious food. With more than ten rotating taps, there is something for every beer drinker. Try Dude Named Dave, a pilsner, or something more fruity like Whiterazz. Give a few different beers a taste by ordering a flight, or bring your favorite home with you by picking up cans-to-go.

Liquid Note Brewing

Visit Liquid Note Brewing in neighboring Otsego for “musically infused” brews. Each beer captures the style of various artists like Hunka Hunk or Throwing Horns. It’s up to you to figure out the artist that goes with each beer.

5 Lakes Brewing Company

Since 2016, 5 Lakes Brewing Company has been producing top-notch beer in Door, just 25 minutes away from Bay Pointe. Not only will you find mainstay beers like Pin Chaser Pils or Huron Gold, hard ciders, and seltzers, but their menu also includes signature cocktails. They also have a food menu filled with options that pair perfectly with any brew.

Brass Ring Brewing

If you’re visiting Grand Rapids, be sure to stop by Brass Ring Brewery on your drive back to Bay Pointe. Producing small batch style pub ales, you’ll find a variety of not only ales but also stouts and porters. Enjoy a flight of five tasters to sample a range of brews like 8-Pound Hammer, Golden Ticket, or Wilde Irish Red Ale.

Saugatuck Brewing Co.

If your itinerary includes a day trip to Kalamazoo, swing by Saugatuck Brewing Co. The Kalamazoo location is the perfect pit stop before driving back to our Gun Lake resort. Since opening in 2005, this brewery has been serving beers ranging from traditional to experimental. Try Blood Orange Oval Beach Blonde Ale, Blueberry Lemonade Shandy, or a Bourbon Barrel Aged Raspberry Chocolate Stout.
